Home ….

After hiding out in Lena, Sophie is home. Her territory …. And at this time, no one is going anywhere. (To her dismay, in less than two weeks, we are heading back….)

Blissfully content

Last Night … Riverboat Cruise, New Orleans

The last night of the conference, we spent a few hours on the Mississippi.  The boat … the Creole Queen.

Swamp Tour, New Orleans

A Swamp Tour … actually, it was pretty good.  When we were on the water, even with it being a tour, it was quiet and peaceful.  Here are some of the sites.  I would give it an ‘A.’

Water, Trees and Hanging Moss

Plenty of Wildlife

Bring on the Alligators

Jumping for Marshmellows

Haunted French Quarter, New Orleans

So, off we go. The ‘haunted’ tour was ‘okay.’ Kind of a wash. We didn’t go into any buildings like I had hoped – disappointed. But the history was pretty good. It gave some general historic information about New Orleans and the French Quarter, including some primary historic buildings. So, I think I would give it a B.

Here are some photos of the evening….

Bourbon Street, New Orleans

I had big hopes for New Orleans. I have to admit, I was a bit disappointed by Bourbon Street. Really?
